Useful, Yet Forgotten
I was reading through a series of posts on a hobby forum when I came across the word mollycoddle. It was being used to describe the treatment of a merchant with an apparent penchant for bad service. Another visitor, no doubt a dandiprat, mocked the perfect use of mollycoddle.
Making a Counterfeit Sandwich
I recently landed on a blog post describing how McDonald’s style Egg McMuffin can be made at home. It took more time to read through the authors lengthy recipe than it does to actually produce a homemade Egg McMuffin. Here is my quick and easy recipe.
- (1) Egg
- (1) English Muffin
- (1) Slice of American Cheese
- (1) Slice of Ham
- Scramble the egg in a small microwave safe bowl, then cook it in a microwave for 1 min – or until it’s not juicy
Toast two halves of an English muffin, butter each after toasting
- Place a slice of American cheese, the cooked egg, and a slice of ham on the toasted muffin.
- Microwave the entire sandwich for up to 1 min.
That’s it. Follow just four simple steps and you’ll be eating a tasty homemade McMuffin. Best of all, you’ll spend only a fraction of the three bucks McD charges. Don’t slip the butter, it’s the key ingredient for making at home muffin sandwiches taste like the real thing!
