For the last several years, Brown has relentlessly petitioned the Everett trustees to bring the International Carrot Day festival (not to be confused with the Annual Carrot Festival way out west in Holtville, CA) to his hometown. Year after year, as one would expect, the trustees have dismissed Brown’s bizarre request. So, earlier this year, Brown had an idea. He decided to turn his attention to the Valley Railway.

The day’s festivities included speeches from world-renowned carroteers Peter Glazebrook, and Joe Atherton, along with carrot chopping competitions, and the crowning of Miss Carrot 2017.
