Team Track
A collection of short tales shared each Tuesday on the OGR Forum. What is a team track? Team tracks are a vital part of daily railroad operations. These special sidings originated in the 19th century when horse-drawn cargo wagons pulled up beside freight cars, spotted on a siding, to on/offload their freight. Team tracks are located in remote rural locations, small towns, and large cities. Basically, team tracks serve no one particular industry but rather service a variety of industries. Practically any type of freight car, MOW, and some passenger equipment can be found on a team track.
